Extended integral boundary layer method for reactive species mass transfer in rotating films

چکیده

Abstract The present work extends the Integral Boundary Layer (IBL) Method to centrifugal force driven thin film flow with mass transfer. proposed hybrid approach combines IBL based solution of field a Finite Difference transport equation, avoiding any concentration profile assumptions and restrictions on surface chemistry. In comparison against results from highly resolved Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, concept is proven as computationally efficient accurate method well applicable infinitely fast reactions finite rate kinetics.
